Empathy is a strength and a professional skill. It’s not just compassion, but the ability to make everyone we interact with feel that we mean well. By actively choosing to approach each other with empathy, we create a workplace environment where everyone feels welcome and included. This applies to all professions, regardless of job responsibilities.
If we need to vent frustrations, do it with someone outside of work. It’s always better to talk TO a person than ABOUT a person. If we ever need to speak negatively about a colleague, make sure it’s not with another colleague, whether inside or outside the workplace.
We can all contribute to a more positive and healthy work environment through small daily choices. Being kind and uplifting each other—even those we don’t naturally connect with—makes work both more enjoyable and more meaningful.
Have a brilliant day!
