It’s Okay to Feel Blue.

It’s important to acknowledge that sometimes we need to allow ourselves to feel negative emotions—whether it’s sadness, anger, frustration, or worry. These feelings are part of the human experience. Constantly forcing ourselves to stay positive or happy isn’t always healthy. In fact, it can be beneficial to consciously embrace life’s challenges without guilt or shame.

That said, it’s crucial not to become trapped in a prolonged state where negative emotions take over.

When the ability to choose positivity is available, it’s a wonderful option. But when that choice isn’t there, it’s equally important to show yourself kindness and give yourself permission not to feel okay.

I fully support the value of positive thinking and psychology, but never to the point where it becomes an obligation that damages your self-esteem. When positivity feels out of reach, it’s essential to honor where you are.

If you have the energy and capacity, by all means, focus on the good and let positivity prevail. But if not, that’s okay too. Grant yourself the grace to be in the moment, even if happiness feels elusive right now.

Take care of yourself.

Have a brilliant day!
